I fell in love with A Mistletoe Kiss in Manhattan in the first chapter and that feeling only grew as I got to know Emma and Thad better through their past and how that is affecting their present or possible future together.

Emma is in charge of making one special wish come true for a child who must remain in the hospital over the holidays.  She’s determined to get this right, and she knows exactly the man to help her… but Thad isn’t called a Grinch for no reason, so it’s going to be an uphill battle to win him over to help.

Slowly we’ll learn of the hurtful pasts that both Thad and Emma have faced.  One has come through with a positive attitude, the other can only linger in that past never really healing from it at all.  I can completely understand Thad’s attitude, and you will, too.  Yet, watching how Emma and their shared project begin to draw this man out of his self-imposed Grinch-ness was a powerful and emotional journey.  I loved them together from the start, but the further into their story the more I appreciated just how far Thad had to go before he was really healed from the events in his past.

If you love a well-written romance with a plot that will have you in tears and in laughter then A Mistletoe Kiss in Manhattan would be a perfect gift for yourself this holiday season.
