Title:  A Rancher Worth Remembering
Series:  Love, Oregon #1
Author: Anna Grace
Genre:  Modern Western Romance

Publisher:  Harlequin Heartwarming
My Rating:  4

A Rancher Worth Remembering begins the Love, Oregon series with a story that grabbed my attention, and my emotions, rather quickly as a small-town matchmaker finally makes the match of her dreams… for herself, eventually.  Clara and Jet have a history, a not-always-so-great high school history, and it was fascinating to see the growth and determination of each of them from those high school days to the present.  I also appreciated the way that Clara’s anxiety was addressed in a realistic, even relatable way that may open some eyes to what dealing with anxiety on a daily basis can be like.

I felt that this story gives a very strong foundation for the rest of this series.  We meet several people who will play a large part in the Wallace siblings’ futures, and I definitely want to know how they all get paired up eventually.  Especially one grumpy brother who seems to have the weight of the world on his shoulders.  I loved “the parents” and hope that they’ll play a part in future romances of their children.

I really enjoyed Clara and Jet.  They have such a unique situation to face, some major misunderstandings to overcome, and perhaps even need to get out of their own way to happiness.  Watching their love story unfold was a charming if at times, frustrating experience.  If you love a second-chance romance, an interesting reason for several missteps by both the hero and the heroine, or simply love a well-written, emotional romance novel… then I’m betting that you’ll love this one.
