The owner of her new label—the man in charge of her career—is way too hot. So hot he’s all she can think about… So to put distance between them, she poses as her quieter twin sister. That should keep temptation away…

We’re just a short time away from the return of the “Can You Read A Series In A Month?” Challenge from Berls & Michelle at Because Reading. (all links -graphic and word links lead you to the signup page) Begins Sept 1st through September 30th.
I’ve done this challenge in the past on other blogs that I have. But since I’m really trying to get caught up on series here at Happily Ever After Romance, I think this year (or this time) HEAR gets the honor of trying. 🙂
I have two series in mind, and because each has between 4 – 6 books either one would work… now to narrow the choice down before September 1st!
It’s a good way to get a few more books off of my TBR pile and enjoy some good stories. If you’re interested go check out the signup page for yourself.
Update: After a bit of looking through my overly packed Kindle I decided to go in a different direction. I’m reading the Coltons of Grave Gulch multi-author series by Harlequin for this challenge. It’s been “a year” so far and I need to get caught up on this series since I have all the books except the final four (because Harlequin changed the release dates (and added another title)… and, in fact, since the next one will release in late September I may have time to add that one to this challenge leaving only three yet unpublished stories to finish.
Uncovering Colton’s Family Secret by Linda O. Johnston
Agent Colton’s Takedown by Beverly Long
Proving Colton’s Innocence by Lara Lacombe
There are three titles that are not released yet in this series – so, can I really state with honesty that I’ve read a series in a month? Technically, no, not really. But then I never started this challenge with the thought of “winning” but with a determination to complete a challenge that has always eluded me… in other words, to prove something to myself. 🙂
A Colton Internal Affair by Jennifer D. Bokal drops on September 28, 2021, so I can get that one read before the month of this challenge is up. The rest? Well, I’ll enjoy them as they are published each month to complete this engaging, fascinating series.
So. I’m going to call this “Can You Read A Series In A Month?” Challenge a win and will look forward to the next time the Challenge comes around. I had fun, it felt good to make a plan and buckle down to get these titles read and off of my Kindle’s TBR pile (mountain). I was never going for the “prize” offered but for the satisfaction of knowing that I finished my own goal… that is the win for me. 🙂
“Striking a Secret Service agent will land you in prison.”
But the petite redhead with the cowboy hat and tire iron seemed unfazed by Nick Sheffield’s words. The Secret Service agent had come to the tiny Texas town to unmask a potential threat to his employer–a U.S. senator. Could his quarry be this captivating single mother who aroused in him a passion that was anything but innocent?
How dare this stranger just show up and turn her life upside down! The last thing Georgeann Grady Colton needed was someone like Nick–handsome, suspicious, irresistible. As danger and desire collided, Georgie knew she was traveling a treacherous road: falling for a man who was taking them both to the point of no return…

**This series was originally published under Silhouette, which of course, no longer exists – but the Coltons do and continue through Harlequin mini-series even today. I wanted to go back to the earlier ones I might have missed… so “Flashback” reviews were invented for these titles. 🙂
