This trio of jaded, bearded bachelors in Alaska just made a bet that they could become matchmakers!

Coop, Gideon, and Ty are bar stool quarterbacks when it comes to love…or should we say scorekeepers on the ice hockey rink of love? A rink they don’t skate on. In a small town they take for granted.

And now they need to put up or shut up.

There’s no harm in placing a bet with a hockey team owner – make 6 love matches in the small town of Kenkamken Bay, Alaska, by Valentine’s Day to earn jobs in his hockey organization in the Lower 48.

A bet that could finally get these bearded, hockey-loving bachelors a chance at the good life. If they don’t foul it up.

Love isn’t always where you expect to find it.

I had such fun with the couples in Her Alaskan Valentine’s Day Matchmaker, and well, with this lovely, remote, tiny Alaskan town’s residents as well.

Take three town-weary bachelors who long for a life in the lower 48 but feel they’ve lost their one shot at that happening.  Add a throwaway comment about bachelors, a lack of ladies in town willing to even think of romance, and a bet that no one, let alone these three, kind of desperate bachelors should ever in a lifetime take.  But they did, they agreed to find six couples to ring that “I found my forever love” bell, and Coach would provide them with their ideal, deeply wished-for professional jobs within his hockey organization.  There’s a time limit and a huge shortage of women willing to even consider such an idea until one woman and a baby break the ice, so to speak, on hearts in Kenkamken Bay, Alaska (locally known as K-Bay)… and you have a fun, funny, emotional, nerve-wracking set of romances to keep you smiling (or shaking your head) throughout.

I don’t want to say too much about the individual stories within the anthology, Her Alaskan Valentine’s Day Matchmaker, except perhaps that all the stories; Baby, Baby by Melinda Curtis, The Matchmaker Wore Skates by Cari Lynn Webb, and Suddenly Sophie by Anna J. Stewart overlap each other in some aspects of the overall story of Coop, Gideon, and Ty’s bet.  To say too much about one story might spoil another – so I’m not going there in this review.  What I am delighted to say is that I loved each and every story, the characters made me smile, frustrated me at times, and in the end, gave me the happy endings I crave in any romance.  And, frankly, I cannot ask for much more than three very special romances in one book, now can I?  I had a blast here and hope to return soon for the next anthology.
