Her Wyoming Hero is the second title in the Eclipse Ridge Ranch series and brings a story rich in emotions, healing, and a few missteps along the way to a happy ending for Seth and Quinn.

Seth, a self-made millionaire, comes from humble beginnings when he was fostered by Sarge and his wife.  He’s been off in the corporate world living a good life that his foster parents had set the foundation solidly for all those years ago.  Years have passed, time moves on and now the man who taught him everything he knows about being a good human being needs him back at the ranch.  Seth’s life is about to undergo another change with the big-time plans of his foster brothers, and one wayward strong wind around a blind curve will bring a woman into his heart that will change everything… if Seth doesn’t make an unfortunate misstep.

Quinn has one goal in life right now, to get the security program her deceased husband, Michael, worked so hard on before his death.  It was her final promise to the man she’ll always love.  She just never thought that company after company would turn down even a chance to learn about Michael’s Shield… but she’s not giving up.  When Seth’s second-in-command turns her away without a thought Quinn overheard enough gossip to know where to find Seth.  But one ancient VW Beetle, an unexpectedly strong wind, and the man she’s chasing rounds the blind corner with an old truck lives are about to be changed, hearts broken, and healing begins.  First, though, Quinn has to get past one little white lie, one assumption, and the fear that follows her everywhere.

Her Wyoming Hero has so many layers of emotions.  It’s not overwhelming, but it is powerful as Quinn and Seth face grief, memories, changes that nothing can stop, and the risk of opening their hearts to possibilities once again.  My heart broke for these characters in many ways.  Sarge at losing the love of his life to death, and dealing with the onset of Alzheimer’s.  Seth at seeing the strong man who was instrumental in turning his life around succumb to age.  Quinn at losing the man she loved and the fear of loving again even though she hasn’t been completely truthful in everything, and could lose so much more unless she takes frightening risks.  And one little boy who needs them all so very much.

Seth is such a good man.  He may have had rough beginnings but the man he’s grown into has a heart that is open to love in all forms, doing the right thing for the right reasons, and knowing when to step back without pressure.  He made a misstep that could have cost him everything that matters, but he’s also a man who knows when to set pride aside and have the necessary conversations even if they hurt.  I adored Seth and enjoyed Her Wyoming Hero so much.  If you love a romance that is realistic in emotions, one that shows what love is capable of when risks are taken then you’d enjoy this one.

I own a Kindle edition of this title.
