She’s determined to start a new chapter, so why is she still drawn to a man from her past?

When Jasmine Weaver, the chief of staff to a powerful D.C. congresswoman, chose integrity, she didn’t anticipate ringing in the New Year disgraced, unemployed, and sleeping in her childhood bedroom. Now back in River’s Edge, Indiana, identical triplet Jazz has her sisters’ support while she plans her next steps. She agrees to lead the committee for their high school’s fifteenth reunion, never dreaming that her co-chair is the man who broke her teenage heart.

As the new CEO of Walker Construction, Elias Walker has taken the family business to new levels of success. He’s buried himself in work to ease the grief of losing his fiancé several years earlier and wants nothing more than to be a carpenter again. Elias grudgingly agrees to co-chair the high school’s reunion committee, but when Jazz Weaver blows into town, suddenly, anything seems possible.

These high school sweethearts have lived half their lives apart. Can they reinvent themselves back in the town where it all began?

Titles in The Weaver Sisters series include — Home to River’s Edge —♥— Meet Me in River’s Edge —♥— Christmas in River’s Edge —♥—

River’s Edge, Indiana world now includes three series (so far):

Four Irish Brothers Winery started us off with — The Baby Contract —♥— Christmas with You —♥— Meant to Be —♥— A Small Town Christmas —♥—

Then we moved on to The Lange Brothers with — The Valentine Wager —♥— Falling for the Doctor —♥— The Fireman’s Christmas Wish —♥—

Of course, you don’t have to read the earlier series to enjoy the current one – but if you enjoy falling into an entire community where you’ll often see familiar faces from across all the somewhat connecting series then this is the world you may want to visit. I’ve enjoyed this world from the very beginning, so I highly recommend all of these stories.

This is an adult 18+ story that may contain language, possible violence, and/or sexual situations geared to an adult audience.

Title:  Home to River’s Edge
Series:  The Weaver Sisters #1
Author:  Nan Reinhardt
Genre:  Contemporary Romance
Published:  April 18, 2023
Publisher:  Tule Publishing
My Rating:  4.5

Home to River’s Edge begins The Weaver Sisters series which is also part of a larger River’s Edge, Indiana world with two previous series that have a slight connection.  In my opinion, you don’t need to have read the earlier series to enjoy this current one… but they are all such good stories that if you’re in the mood for some well-written, emotional romances in this same world then I’d definitely recommend them.

Jazz has returned to the one place she vowed she’d rarely set foot in ever again.  Exposing her boss as the corrupt congresswoman that she really is has blown Jazz’s Washington, D. C. career to tiny pieces.  She doesn’t regret her actions, but she did know there would be consequences only maybe she didn’t see returning home quite like this in her immediate future.  Or to be thrust into the path of the one man she’s done everything possible to avoid after he broke her heart with no explanation so many years ago.

Elias has regrets from those teenage years, but there’s little he can do about them now.  Especially when his life is a daily battle to appear to be functioning as normal after the death of his fiancé a short time ago.  He’s never finished their home, even though he’s now the CEO of the family business, and a skilled carpenter as well.  Too many memories and unfilled dreams live in that unfinished house, ghosts that he continually runs from… until Jazz came back to town.

Jazz and Elias’ romance is so emotional, with ghosts from the past, and troubles in the present right up in their faces constantly.  Add into the mix the fact that these former lovers are on the high school reunion committee just puts a bit more pressure on them.  I loved watching this couple work through what happened in the past, for the real reasons to come to light over what tore them apart back then.  It is an emotional journey for Elias as he faces the loss of a woman he loved and begins to see that perhaps he does deserve the future that is right in front of him… on his terms.  This is a powerful story on several levels, and I enjoyed every moment of their journey to a love that can last a lifetime if they are willing to take the risk of trusting and loving once again.
