My Rating:  4 stars

I’m not sure if I enjoyed My Secret Fantasies more for the sexy romance or for the laughter – maybe it’s both plus a couple who had me believing very quickly that they belonged together in spite of their first impressions.  Miranda and Damien might seem like oil and water at first, but give them a chance and they will deliver a fun, sexy, emotional romance that is quite believable… yes, because even reality show contestants have real lives beyond that temporary spotlight and deserve their happily ever after as well.

Miranda has dreams of opening her own tea shop but saving up for it is a slow struggle.  When the chance to take part in a reality show with a final prize that was large enough to make her tea shop dreams come true, well, she went for it.  She kept her head down, focused on the competitions at hand and not the drama going on around her.  Unfortunately, she did have some long-ago drama from back home and when that information was included in the show she got that horrendous nickname.  Which wasn’t in the least bit true but the gossiping biddies back home needed to tell tall tales.  And that tale led to Miranda being rather recognizable to the public when she won.  Now she’s found the perfect building, the ideal location for her unique tea shop, and is ready to seal the deal until the owner discovers who she is and tries to back out.

Damien has his reasons for despising the Hollywood mentality and he doesn’t want the madness that will show up at his ranch if he sells this small portion to Miranda.  He said no, but she’s not about to give up her dream easily.  What develops between them is sizzling chemistry combined with a vivid fantasy mind… and eventually seeing each other’s real selves.

I loved both of them for different reasons and was easily caught up in watching Miranda win Damien over.  My Secret Fantasies is well-written with a fun plot, lots of witty dialogue, an intriguing situation, and a couple that simply works.  I would recommend reading My Double Life first for there are connections, but if that’s not possible you won’t be the least bit lost.  I had fun and that’s the entire point.
