It was supposed to be a secret wedding…

Followed by a quiet divorce.

What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, right?

That is, until it’s shown on national television, and then all hell breaks loose

Hunky cowboy Ace Riley wasn’t planning on settling down, but his family had other plans for him. The only way to save his hide, his ranch, and his playboy lifestyle is to discreetly marry his best friend, Jasmine King.

Fiesty city girl Jasmine was just helping out her friend…that is, until their first kiss stirs up a whole mess of paparazzi trouble, and suddenly discretion is thrown to the wind.

One hot cowboy, one riled-up woman…

And they’ll be married for a year, like it or not!

I love a good friendship that turns into something more kind of romance, and One Hot Cowboy Wedding delivers… and then some.  Although this book is part of a series, you won’t feel the least bit lost as it can stand on its own since anything really needed will be mentioned in either narrative or dialogue.

Ace has a problem.  He didn’t realize soon enough that there was one requirement to inherit his grandfather’s ranch that he’s neglected to tend to.  And not a little something that can be easily and quickly handled.  No, Ace has to be married within about a week and stay married for at least a year or all that he’s worked for will be handed off to a cousin that no one would trust with a paper cup let alone a ranch.  This is where friends come to the rescue when Jasmine offers to marry her best friend in Las Vegas and keep it a secret from the town gossips and their friends and family.  A quick divorce at the end of the time period and all’s good; no one gets hurt, and Ace saves his ranch.  Which would have worked out just fine but for one photograph that celebrated a milestone for that particular chapel.  And sooner than you can say “I do” their wedding picture is blasted across the media – of course, those at home now know everything which just makes life so much more complicated for this couple… who didn’t intend to be a forever kind of couple at all.

I had such fun with this novel.  Ace has his reasons for why he acts like a player, and Jasmine has her own trust issues as well.  What neither expected was that spark that ignited with the now infamous kiss or the growing attraction that’s sizzling between them.  The stakes just got higher for them both when love enters the arrangement.  It’s not going to be a smooth road to a happy ever after for this couple; there are potholes and rough roads ahead – but watching them fall in love, and deal with all of that was a satisfying, fun, emotional experience.
