Pursued by the Sheriff brings the Mercy Ridge Lawmen series to a close with an anticipated story that finally gave me Jace’s story… and what a tense story it is.

Linnea will put herself in even more danger when she brings Jace to a remote cabin after he’d been shot.  Even worse, the shooter is her brother, a man she’s already confronted about his activities with no success.  Only now, a bigger target has been painted on her back as she and Jace are in the crosshairs of a killer who will do everything to not be caught.  It’s going to be an intense journey before justice is served and two people who fight their attraction finally set aside their fears to protect each other.  And, perhaps, along the way give in to the thought of falling in love with the last person they expected.

Jace and Linnea’s story is well-written, fast-paced, and full of unexpected twists and revelations.  I’ve enjoyed this series very much, and this was a perfect way to bring both the story and the other story thread woven throughout the series to a conclusion that was intense and believable.  If that sounds like your kind of adventure then you’ll want to get started on the Mercy Ridge Lawmen series soon.  It was originally released in 2021, but stories are timeless, so don’t hesitate to dive into a really good series that will keep you guessing throughout with couples that not only fight for justice but find their perfect lifemates along the way.  I had such a good in the Mercy Ridge Lawmen world, but now it’s time to begin another Delores Fossen series… and that is something I always look forward to doing.

I own a Kindle edition of this title.
