Snowbound in His Billion-Dollar Bed is such an emotional story for both Stefano and Lucy.  Yes, their story has a dazzling setting, I mean, who wouldn’t love to be snowbound in a castle no less?  And it certainly has the sizzling chemistry and passion that I expect from this Harlequin line.  Yet, the pain this couple was in, each for their own reasons, was palatable, the reader could feel Stefano’s anguish, his pain, his determination to fix the situation.

And Lucy… oh, how her pain was brought into each piece that she played for Stefano on that priceless violin which has no true monetary value (even though it does) to Lucy but more a family history that isn’t what she had believed in for her entire life.  This violin has seen her through agony and triumph… losing it will be like the loss of a vital limb.  But she’ll do what is right even while leaving her heart and her violin with a man she could have loved for a lifetime.

There comes that moment in every romance where the hero (or sometimes the heroine) does that one foolish thing that could end any chance for a happy ending.  Yeah.  I cannot remember a book where I wanted to not only smack Stefano upside the head for his foolishness but to need (and I mean really need) for him to grovel for a month before Lucy took him back.  It didn’t turn out quite that way but I was so angry with him for his words and his actions.  I have to admit that I did love seeing this proud man get a stern dressing-down from his best friend (who happens to be royalty) for his beliefs and his actions.

Everything came together just right for me in Snowbound in His Billion-Dollar Bed.  I adored Lucy, loved Stefano (until he turned, temporarily, into a jerk), and was always captivated by the passion, the playfulness, the scenery, and the location… and the possibilities for this couple once they got beyond the past.  If you love a passionate love story with secrets, puzzles to put together, and an emotional tale from start to finish then you’ll love Lucy and Stefano.

I own a Kindle edition of this title.
