I was so wrapped up in Stolen from Her Royal Wedding.  It’s such an emotional story, yet slightly different emotions in so many different ways.

As the third child, Marit never expected to take on major royal duties.  In her parents’ eyes, she was pretty much the spare child.  Yet, when things change within the roles of the royal children so does Marit’s as well.  Instead of the spare, she’s to be the second in line… with all the constraints that come with duty, like her brother, the king, declaring that he would be deciding who would be her future husband.  No.  Just no, not going to happen.  So Marit sets out with her own plan in mind, one that doesn’t go quite as she planned, but will, ultimately, bring her the man of her dreams and a love to last a lifetime.  But not without issues, that’s for certain.

Lykos has the challenge of returning Marit home… unwed.  He’s made a deal with the King the return of one princess in exchange for something Lykos desperately needs.  It seemed a simple enough task – prevent a wedding, carry off a princess, and it’s a done deal.  Yet, life is more complicated than that, as both Marit and Lykos are about to find out.  He is about to delay returning Marit to her brother for less than a week in order to give her an unheard-of chance to do some things on a bucket list of items a royal princess could never, ever do.  In the process, they are about to discover what lies beneath the surface of the face they give the public… and a love that neither expected for themselves.

I love when a character from another previous series gets their own happy ever after ending – we met Lykos in The Diamond Inheritance series as Theron’s best friend from The Greek Secret She Carries. We get the chance to understand the hardship Lykos has faced growing up and building himself into the billionaire he is today.  Both Marit and Lykos have so many emotional layers to them and that makes their story enchanting, passionate, and intriguing for me.  I loved their passion, their hearts-to-hearts conversations, and that they “got” each other when so few people ever, truly did.  I believed in them as a couple and I love the story they were given.  I cannot wait until Aleksandar finally understands what his sisters are going through!

Stolen from Her Royal Wedding is a charming, sizzling, emotional romance that swept me off my feet and landed me on solid ground with this couple and how their story concludes.  If you love a good romance, with believable characters (and royals are just people, too), and a story that will have you glued to the pages… then Marit and Lykos are the perfect couple for you to fall for today.

I own a Kindle edition of this title.
