Title:  Summer Nights with the Maverick
Series:  Montana Mavericks: Brothers & Broncos #1

Genre:  Modern Western Romance

My Rating:  4.5 stars

Summer Nights with the Maverick begins the multi-author series (continuity) Montana Mavericks: Brothers & Broncos series with a fun, emotional romance with a touch of danger and mystery, a few tears, lots of laughter, a couple who do belong together in spite of themselves… and one little girl who will steal hearts and scenes at every opportunity.

Wes has determined to stick to the single life without relationships or commitments after a rough breakup with his former fiancé.  Evy is a single mother who has devoted her life to her precocious little one with no desire to enter into another casual relationship after the way her ex treated her.  Both have commitment issues, and both have an attraction that they try to ignore but when that’s no longer possible they put an end date on it all… except, that didn’t quite work out as intended.

I had such fun with Summer Nights with the Maverick.  Wes and Evy are believable and realistic and I couldn’t help but want to see them lower some walls and let each other in.  And let’s be real now, this is cuteness overload with Lola and the puppy, the kitten stealing scenes left and right.  There were times though when I wanted to sit Wes down for a stern talking to because not only was he hurting Evy and Lola with his stubbornness but himself as well.  Of course, the characters never listen to me and had to go about solving their own (self-made) problems in addition to the danger that brought them together finally in the first place.

If you love a well-written, action-filled Romantic Suspense that will keep you flipping pages to discover what happens next, then this one is just right for you. Summer Nights with the Maverick captured my attention, and my emotions and never let go, so if that is the type of romance you’re looking for… you’ve found it at the beginning of the Montana Mavericks: Brothers & Broncos series.
