5 stars = Excellent story, grabbed my heart

4.5 stars = Excellent story, made me want more

4 stars = Great story, will follow a series

3.5 stars = Good book, might follow if it’s starting a series

3 stars = Good book in that it was written well but it didn’t blow me away, other readers may enjoy

2 stars = Not for me, gave it a shot but no.

1 star = This is not a usual rating for me so if I 1 star a book it was awful enough to toss against an outside wall and let it lie there

DNF = I don’t often do this, but occasionally I just cannot stand one more word of a 1-star book I’m trying to find something good about
