Taking on the Billionaire begins the Redhawk Reunion series with a sizzling, emotional, and perplexing romance that certainly didn’t start out the way it ended for Tess and Adam.  It started with Tess being hired to track down Adam’s heritage, his brother and sister, who were placed into the foster care system so long ago.  And continued when Adam asked Tess to help him find the traitor within his company who seemingly wanted to destroy everything Adam had worked for.  It ended, well, you’ll see.

Tess was good at a career she enjoyed, she could fit puzzle pieces together with the right questions and information and hard work.  Yet she’s also working on a hidden agenda that Adam has no clue about.  Revenge is a dish best served cold, and Tess is determined to use information gathered from Adam and his company as a way to get payback for the manner in which his adoptive father had ruined her father.  She won’t stop until she has justice for her father… even if that means breaking her own heart along the way.

I found Taking on the Billionaire to be an intense romance with a lot of subtle undertones.  I enjoyed Adam’s relentless search for his siblings and hope that both his brother and sister will have their stories told in a romance at some point.  Tess and Adam were simply on fire both emotionally and physically, but those pesky lies and half-truths will eventually intrude on their romance.  I liked this couple, enjoyed their romance, and now have a burning need to know more about this family.
