Title: The Billionaire’s Cinderella Housekeeper
Series: (Duet) Housekeeper Brides for Billionaires #2
Author: Miranda Lee
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Published: March 1, 2021
Publisher: Harlequin
My Rating: 4 stars
The Billionaire’s Cinderella Housekeeper is a sassy, sexy, emotional story between two people who say they don’t want love and marriage in their lives for they don’t trust that emotion one wee bit these days. Yet the sizzling heat flowing off of them each in this story tells a far different tale.
Sebastian’s new temporary housekeeper is certainly not what he expected. This sexy beauty taking a dip in his pool was definitely not what he expected to find when he returned from his business trip. And the instant attraction, or more specific, the lust he felt toward her soon had him running for cover and hiding behind past pain once again. He’d been burned badly with his wife’s death, and the manner in which she’d kept him away while she suffered alone. He’s not about to open himself up to loving, needing anyone again… but he’s not averse to a long-term affair.
Ruby is a fixer. And no matter how hot the attraction is between her and Sebastian, she’s certain she could fix his determination to never love again because she’s more than halfway in love with him right now. But that’s something she’s determined to not let him see. If all he offers is physical, then she’ll take that… until it hurts too much to continue.
This couple is so stubborn that they were bound to fall for each other… and equally bound to try to hide that fact from the other. Watching them fight their way to each other long-term was an emotional, sizzling experience. I liked them. I adored a secondary character, Zach. And was glad that he got his happy ending in this one as well.
The Billionaire’s Cinderella Housekeeper turned out to be a rather bittersweet romance for me. Oh, I enjoyed Ruby and Sebastian’s story but it’s knowing that this is the final book by Miranda Lee that makes this a sad moment for me as a long-time reader of this author. Miranda Lee (pen name) passed away in November of 2021. I’ve enjoyed her varied stories for so many years. She shall be greatly missed by her countless loyal readers.
