Title:  The Firefighter’s Thanksgiving Wish
Series:  Butterfly Harbor #7
Author:  Anna J. Stewart
Genre:  Contemporary Romance
Publication Date:  November 1, 2019
Rating:  4.5 stars

The Firefighter’s Thanksgiving Wish is the seventh title in the Butterfly Harbor series, and while there are some tensions, some serious issues going on, this time there are plenty of antics by the older crowd to counter the tensions between Roman and Frankie.  After all, everyone knew that Frankie was a natural choice for the Fire Chief position when the current chief retired.  No one told the arrogant, annoying new mayor that as he’s hired from outside of Butterfly Harbor.  Roman comes from a big city fire station, he’s looking to check off boxes on his resume to get him to the profession that he really wants and is just outside of his reach.  So far.  Neither knew the danger they’d be facing or that enemies could so easily become friends… and more.

I adored Frankie and her passive-aggressive actions toward Roman throughout their opening gambits.  And of course, since Roman basically, unknowingly stole Frankie’s promotion out from under her I had to make Roman prove himself to me… and he eventually did with laughter, kindness, and charm.  These two just fit together so well.  I liked them individually and together they just sizzle with possibilities.  And the antics of The Cocoon Club certainly had me in snort-giggles all the way through The Firefighter’s Thanksgiving Wish.  The codes that Frankie and the elders used to let the fire department know that it wasn’t an emergency just needed a ride always put a smile on my face, and usually laughter as well.  Roman certainly got roasted by some of the loyal to Frankie residents of Butterfly Harbor and he took it in good stride.  Mostly.  There was that broken leg incident though, that wasn’t so fun but it did open up doors for this couple to move forward.

I had such fun with Roman and Frankie that I didn’t want their story to end.  There is some ongoing danger, a few close calls, and always the magic of the butterflies in Butterfly Harbor.  We’ll run into familiar faces, catch up on what’s happening in the lives of previous couples and just enjoy hanging out in the coolest, tiny town around.  If you love a really good romance filled with laughter, antics, a touch of danger, and a couple to watch grow and fall in love then this story and this series would be perfect for you.  Just because a series has been around for a bit doesn’t mean that you cannot enjoy everything about this world… the plus side for me was that I could binge-read and not have to wait for the next story although there will be more – and that fact makes me a very happy reader.

I own a Kindle edition of this title.

Available in paperback or for your favorite e-reader, mine is the Kindle.
