Title:  The Wedding Dare
Series:  Destination Wedding #1
Author:  Katherine Garbera
Genre:  Contemporary Romance
Published:  February 22, 2022
Publisher:  Harlequin Desire
My Rating:  4.5 stars

I loved stepping back into this world again with what is listed as the first story in the series, The Wedding Dare… but is preceded by Her One Night Proposal, which I believe set the foundation for the Destination Wedding series.  But, that’s simply a bit of information should you want to know Iris and Zac’s story from which one detail is mentioned quite a bit throughout the rest of the series.  On a side note, I adore that cover it’s so colorful, free, and fun – makes me want to attend a destination wedding on the beach soon!

Quinn is filming a destination wedding of a friend, back in a once familiar place, with a friend and their family around… and one ex.  Quinn never really got over Logan, one stubborn man, a driven at times a bit of a bully kind of man (at least in the business world), to Quinn he was everything she wanted until it ended.  Now she’s about to run into Logan over the four days of filming all the details of his cousin’s wedding… to a man who is part of a family that the Bisset family considers an enemy.  Fun times.  What Quinn doesn’t know is that Logan’s world is about to implode when a family secret is revealed, and this man is going to be brought to his knees – and she’ll be the one who can help the man she still loves cope with what is to come.

I adored Quinn.  She’s strong, more than capable of dealing with Logan and his anger, his stubbornness, and even the way they parted.  She’s Logan’s guiding star, the one person who can help him see another viewpoint, stop and rethink a plan, in fact, they are perfectly matched as Logan counters her weak points as well.  Logan… oh, Logan.  This is a man who can be and often is ruthless in his business dealings (and sometimes in his personal life as well).  I like my heroes stubborn, it’s always such fun to watch them rethink their attitudes, and goodness, does Logan ever have an attitude.  His world is about to be turned upside down, caught in hurricane-force winds with what is about to be revealed.  Quinn was there, in spite of his push-away, pull-back attitude towards her.  I cannot say that I loved Logan for he is a hard man to love – but I did like him, and admired the way he changed his stance, and his attitude while still holding on to his personality.  He’ll never be perfect, but he is perfect for Quinn and that’s really all that matters in The Wedding Dare.

There are secrets to be revealed, scandals to be avoided or controlled, lots of emotions, definitely sizzling chemistry… and a wedding, as well as a family that will never again be what it was originally thought to be.  I’m loving this series, with more family members to find their perfect match… I’m looking forward to seeing who falls next, and how these secrets will affect the Bisset and Williams families.  If you love juicy secrets, beautiful settings, family drama, and a love story for the ages then you’ll want to pick up The Wedding Dare and dive into this romantic world.

I own a Kindle edition of this title.
