Country singer Hannah Banks wants what she shouldn’t have.

The owner of her new label—the man in charge of her career—is way too hot. So hot he’s all she can think about… So to put distance between them, she poses as her quieter twin sister. That should keep temptation away…

Except Will Sutherland doesn’t play games. He wants the real Hannah—in his studio and in his bed—as long as what’s between them stays their secret. But when an old rival uncovers the truth, Will must choose between playing the press or playing for keeps…

Twin Games in Music City begins the multi-author Dynasties: Beaumont Bay series with a sizzling romance, an unsuccessful twin swap, and… blackmail.  Oh, yeah.  Sign me up!

Hannah has recently left a previous agency where she performed mainly other artist’s work – and that was not her long-term goal for her music career.  They parted ways, perhaps not on the best of terms as was quickly proven.  When Hannah signed with Elite, Will’s agency it was with the promise of being able to perform her own music, to take her career in a slightly different direction.  It certainly didn’t hurt that Will is hotter than a summer afternoon and the sparks flew like fireflies between them.  Yet, neither wanted to risk the gossip that any public relationship between them would foster within the music industry – each for their own reasons.  Will is adamant that their relationship remain secret.  But one vindictive woman will change lives and perhaps force two lovers to decide if they’re in this for the long haul or just for the moment.

I love the world of Country Music, I grew up with it and continue to enjoy my favorite artists (although I’m more of a Classic Country than anything else) today so the chance to step into a fictional Country Music series based in Nashville is simply too tempting to resist.  Twin Games in Music City laid a firm groundwork for the series, as I expected some world-building with this first story.  Hannah and Will simply sizzled sexual tensions throughout the first part of their story, adding in the danger facing Hannah (and Will) gave an emotional punch to a sexy story from the start.  I enjoyed their romance, want to know more about some things (which I’m sure I’ll learn over the length of the series), and definitely want to know Hallie’s future as well.  There were parts where I wanted less repetition and places where I also wanted more details, but overall this is a very good start to the series and drew me in rather quickly.  The important part is that I was kept in the story until the ending, and left wanting just a bit more… which is what I’m sure I’ll find in the next story in the Dynasties: Beaumont Bay series.

If you love the world of Country Music and enjoy a passionate romance, then this is a series you’ll want to check out.

I own a Kindle edition of Twin Games in Music City.
