Between keeping his brothers in line and looking after Lockhart Bend, Sheriff Trevor Wild has enough on his plate. But he can’t pass up the chance to get close to the town’s newest resident, Marianne Stanton. She’s as delicious as the beer she brews… But as stubborn as a hangover.
She won’t sway from her plans to revitalize the town’s beloved honky tonk. But the more time he spends with her, the more he begins to come around to her way of thinking. Maybe Lockhart Bend is ready for a new honky tonk, and maybe its sheriff is finally ready for love…
Marianne barely escaped Denver with her dignity intact. Lockhart Bend is her chance to start fresh, away from her ex-husband. She’s striking out on her own, and she won’t accept help from anyone. Especially the town’s pushy, opinionated sheriff. The only problem: is that the sheriff is drop-dead gorgeous. She can’t help but let him into her heart. But when a blast from her past puts her dreams on the line, both her love and her ambitions are in jeopardy.
Will Marianne find a way to have both the boyfriend and the brewpub of her dreams? Or is she headed for yet another heartbreak?

Marianne is returning to the small town she was born in with determination and a plan. That plan will put her on the opposite side of the debate with the local sheriff, Trent, who likes things just as they’ve always been. When Marianne buys the local honky tonk bar from her aunt, she plans to reopen it as a brewery pub. She is talented at brewing beer and plans to sell her stock to the locals, as well as running her newly designed pub.
She’s out to prove a point that the small-town gossip was wrong about her back then, and she can stick to something and be successful. Unfortunately, she didn’t really consider that what she wanted to build here in this small town doesn’t really have a small-town audience. And one stubborn, opinionated neighbor who happens to be the sheriff will remind her of that fact… constantly.
Trent and Marianne make an interesting pair. Their bickering and sexual tension drive them both and provide an interesting feel to their story. Some outside drama, a bit of a challenge, and learning how to compromise will move this story alone. I had fun here, and that’s the entire point of romance. If you love a well-written, steamy, clash of wills type of romance, then you’ll have a good time with Wild Dream.
