Wrong Brother, Right Kiss is the second title in the Dynasties: DNA Dilemma series, and it is a powerful story for several reasons.  Tinsley and Cody have a history aside from him being her former brother-in-law.  He tried to warn her off from marrying his brother JT, claiming that she’d only be hurt in the end by his brother.  Of course, she ignored him but that set up a tenuous battleground between them – not to mention that he’s often in her professional life as an events planner.  He’s always annoyed her… and attracted her at the same time.  Her best defense has been to ignore Cody as much as possible until this New Year’s Eve event they’re both involved with.  Tonight she’s going to ignore their battles and grab what she wants right now… Cody.  The complications from that one night will light up their lives with passion, anger, and a love that neither will acknowledge easily.  There’s heartache ahead for this couple, but also the joy of finding that perfect fit if they are willing to take the risks that falling in love requires- a little thing called trust is going to play a big part in their lives.

I was easily captured by Wrong Brother, Right Kiss on several layers.  There is, of course, the sizzling chemistry between them, the history that neither can truly ignore.  There is also dealing with the fallout of JT who has proven to be a selfish, man-child who wants what he wants and then tosses it away when he’s done with little thought.  Cody knew what his brother was like, after all, he’d practically raised JT.  His warning to Tinsley wasn’t mean-hearted but was a fear that his brother would do exactly what he did to his bride.  I loathed JT from the first mention of his name and that never changed.

There is another level to Wrong Brother, Right Kiss that I don’t intend to give many details about for that would definitely be a spoiler.  My heart broke for Tinsley and for Cody in this story for different yet similar reasons.  There is a strong underlying sense of unease throughout the latter part of their story, and it soon became apparent why I was feeling that way.  The author took a sensitive subject and treated it with respect, understanding, and compassion for all involved.  It’s one of the reasons she’s on my auto-buy radar.  You’ll understand when you get to that part.

Tinsley’s and Cody’s story is full of passion, falling in love for the right reasons, sizzling chemistry, family annoyances, and obligations… and let’s not forget those secrets that just get more intriguing as the series continues.  I’m enjoying this world and will soon be diving into the next story in the Dynasties: DNA Dilemma mini-series.  If you love a romance that will keep you on edge, provide a believable couple facing life’s challenges head-on, and watch a love that could last forever unfold then you’ll want to pick up this story, or the entire series, right now.

I own a Kindle edition of this title.
