The Nights She Spent with the CEO begins the Cape Town Tycoons duo with a sexy, emotional romance that simply proves once again why Joss Wood is one of my go-to authors, whether it’s requesting an ARC or picking up my copy on publication day.

Lex is a chauffeur for Cole’s company, among many other jobs like a part-time student and full-time caregiver to her younger half-sisters.  She’s exhausted most of the time but stubbornly keeps up such a hectic schedule because, well, it’s what she does – take care of those she loves, even when it’s hard.  She’s about to run into a man who will change her world— right after she spills coffee all over him at their first meeting while assigned to pick him up from the airport.

Cole is in town to assess this particular business, one of many that he now sits at the helm of… and many who will either be sold off or greatly reduced in the immediate future.  There are reasons for his actions, yet they are reasons that don’t allow him to acknowledge what his actions are doing to the people these companies employ.  His goal of selling off family assets is almost an obsession and one that he rarely deviates from.  Until meeting Lex.  To say that sparks flew between them at that first meeting is the biggest understatement of either of their lives… and they aren’t done by a long shot.

Lex and Cole are both extremely stubborn people, the kind that doesn’t take kindly to that fact being pointed out to them.  Slowly, they’ll be drawn closer as Lex drives Cole around town, and they begin to admit to the attraction between them.  One long road trip to a remote ski lodge will bring all those sparks to an undeniable flame – and answers that Cole has refused to give are finally revealed to Lex (and us).

The Nights She Spent with the CEO is intense, emotional, and hot as sin.  I liked Lex and Cole, stubborn as they were, so much.  Watching them lower walls and begin to acknowledge more than just a strong sexual attraction between them is the start of a lovely romance.  We all deal with truths differently, and often not right away, and this was true for both of their situations.  There is a revelation that will change how Cole views his world, and my heart broke for this proud man at that point.  This is a couple who fit together. Yes, their lifestyles might be far different, but they fit. They fill in the empty spaces in each other.  And that was a lovely discovery throughout their story.

If you crave a sexy romance, if you smile when stubborn meets equally stubborn in a romantic couple, if you like putting puzzle pieces together to understand why someone is acting as they are, or if you simply love a well-written, emotional, sizzling romance… well, you’ll find all of that in The Nights She Spent with the CEO.
